The Podcast Huize Dina

The Huize Dina podcast tells the story of a home for Jewish girls in Santpoort in 1930–1943. Each episode follows the story of one of the girls, allowing the audience to hear the girls’ archives from the girls’ perspective – we call that approach the Implicit Listener.
This website serves as an educational resource on our approach to sonifying the archive and creating a narrative-led podcast told from the girls’ own perspective. In the Timelines of the girls’ lives section you can follow each girl’s life as the archive recorded it, year by year. In the Making Of section you can read about the interdisciplinary collaborations that emerged from the project, and the insights gained through the work.
